What Causes Tingling Sensation On The Left Side Of The Face?

My son is 36 years old and has been battling nasal congestion for a couple of weeks. Earlier today he started feeling a tingling sensation on the left side of his face, neck and down his left arm and hand. History - He does suffer with heart palpitations related to anxiety. He does not take any prescription meds and has not been taking over the counter cold meds. Should he be seen by a doctor or wait to see if the symptoms subside?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If the symptoms of tingling sensation go longer than 2-3 days and they do not seem to be getting better he needs to be seen by a doctor. Generally anxiety might cause strange sensation but they are mostly not continuous, they come and go so if his tingling sensation is for not coming and going or is for more than 3 days or is getting any worse, or if he has other neurological symptoms like weaknesses, than he needs to see a doctor.

Hope I have answered your query.
