What Causes Tingling Sensation In The Left Ear Upon Sleeping?
Good afternoon, my mother is 79, in relatively good health for her age, complaining of a tingling in her left ear only when she lays down to go to bed at night. She describes it as a Tingly feeling and at times it s like she can hear her heartbeat in that ear. Normally when she wakes up the sensation has subsided, also she says it happens mostly at night.

It could be tinnitus. As the first line of management, you can take drugs like betahistine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist better to consult an ENT specialist and evaluated.
