What Causes Tingling Sensation From The Knees To The Toes?

I m experiencing pins and needles sensation from my knee down to my toes. Not terribly painful but like when your leg or arm falls asleep. It s been that way for a week. My lower back gets sore when I move heavy objects but this happened when I was kneeling on the ground and moved to get up. I felt a twinge just below my kneecap and the pain went away but the sensations of pins and needles did not yet, Do I need to worry about this now or wait and see if it goes away?
