What Causes Tingling Sensation And Numbness In The Lips?

My husband is having tingling/numbness in lips and end of tongue. His palms are red. He says he feels that is body is wet when he lies down to go to bed; however, he gets up and feels of his body/bed. Both are dry. He has had the lyme disease blood test. We are baffled and frankly so is our doctor. Can you help?

Considering the clinical scenario you described,I feel it will be first necessary to find out the underlying cause.Subsequent action to be taken depends on the cause.
You can give something with sugar put in it as it can be due to hypoglycaemia.
Certain medication or food (especially fish)may cause such complaints as as allergic reaction,so I need you to review any recent change or intake of medicines that coincided with this symptom.
I advise certain blood investigations like blood glucose,serum Vit B 12,serum calcium levels.
Besides,I would like to ask you what is your occupation as certain chemical exposures like mercury at workplace may be associated with such picture.
