What Causes Tingling Of Skin And Red Raised Spots ?

for the past three weeks, i have been getting what i thought to be hives. i feel a tingling on my skin, then a red spot appears that has a raised center. if i touch them, they itch. if i scratch them, the skin scratches off the surface and i get a deep scab that takes a long time to heal.. my son is now getting these red spots as well. i showed a doctor and because we have eczema, that is what it was attributed to. its not eczema.. a pin head sized bump in the center of a red spot the size of a dime. they are sporadic and intermittent. please help.

Dermatologist 's  Response
The red raised bumps with sporadic and intermittent lesions suggests a possible diagnosis of papular urticaria or insect bite hypersensitivity. You should try and use mosquito nets as much as possible. Also a dry skin predisposes the condition so it is advisable to you use a moisturiser regularly.
