Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that his symptoms seem to be related to transient ischemic attack, although the region affected is not very typical of brain ischemia.

I recommend consulting with his GP for some tests:
-resting ECG
-Doppler ultrasound of the cervical vessels to examine the blood flow to the brain
-blood lab tests (complete blood count, fasting glucose, blood lipid profile, kidney and liver function tests, blood electrolytes)

A brain MRI would be helpful in excluding possible brain lesions.

Hope to have been helpful!
Best wishes,
Dr. Aida
