What Causes Tingling In Hands After Touching Shredded Zucchini?

I just shredded zucchini and used my hand to mix sea salt into it. Immediately after washing my hands my finger tips started to tingle and the skin on my hand is now drying up and getting tight, my hand is also swelling and when I hold it up I can see my pulse because my hand is shaking every time my heart beats. Should I be concerned?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history you are having irritant dermatitis.
My treatment advice is -
1. Don't scratch the lesion as it may worsen the condition.
2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on the lesions twice daily.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone or betamethasone taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
