What Causes Tingling In Fingers After An Injury?

I fell pretty hard and hit my elbow two weeks ago. I felt tingling in my last two fingers and after some research thought the swelling from falling compressed the ulnar nerve. However after two weeks it hasn t improved and I m having trouble writing and it hurts when I lie down and keep the arm straight or am. Driving the car. Gould I wait longer to see if it heals or should I see a doctor

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query.Your problem can be most likely due to ulnar nerve injury at elbow. Nerve injuries need more time for healing. It may even take 3 to 4 months also. It is better to have an examination with orthopedician. Corticosteroids , medication to relieve nerve spasm like gabapentin and physical as well as occupational therapy will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
I find this answer helpful
