What Causes Tingling And Numbness In Hand?

I have glenhumeral joint effusions ..... but why would my hand left hand be starting to tingle and be numb? This is going on over 5 years with no relief and nobody 5 Drs don t have a clue. Thanks for your time I m 55, with a long history of health issues... type 1 diabetic, colitis, high blood pressure and the list goes on. I m just tired and wish I would just go to heaven already.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

I have studied your case.
Due to compression of nerve root there can be tingling numbness on hand.

I will advise you to do MRI cervical spine.
For these symptoms analgesic and neurotropic medication can be started.
Till time, avoid lifting weights, Sit with support to back. You can consult physiotherapist for help.
Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief.
I will advise to check your vit B12 and vit D3 level.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
