What Causes Tingling And Cold Feet At Night?

Over a period of years, starting with my right larg toe, later in my left big toe, doth my feet have become numb. The numbness has gradually worked up to just below the calf on both legs. I barely notice the problem when walking or standing but at night they tingle and feel cold but when I feel them they they are warm and normal. Please diagnose if you can.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi.

this could be a micro cirulatory problem, and first warrants a physical examination of your legs (especially calf region) and then followed by blood panels to check on your lipid profile, blood coagulation profile, and blood glucose. A Doppler ultrasound of your legs will also provide valuable information. Varicose veins could be a possibility. Speak to your doctor about starting you off on Daflon.

Best wishes.
