General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms can be related to acid reflux.

It can be stimulated by smoking or spicy food.

I suggest using antacids such as Maalox three times a day.

I also suggest using a PPI medication such as Omeprazole daily in the morning before breakfast.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
