What Causes Tickle In Throat?

I frequently get a tickle in my throat that results in a coughing fit. The tickle is always in the same spot on the left side of my throat. It can occur any time of day or night. Generally, cough drops help, but they are only a temporary fix. How can I get rid of the tickle?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi , As per your clinical history it appears as you are having post nasal discharge on left side of throat.
It is most likely coming from sinuses on left side. To find out cause of post nasal discharge - Diagnostic Nasal Endoscopy needed.
Start Steam Inhalation , Saline nasal drop ,Plenty of fluids , Antihistaminic levocetirizine + Montelukast & mucolytic .
Here my suggestion is that you should consult your ENT doctor for thorough examination, necessary investigations and treatment.
Hope above information helpful to you.
Regards - Dr KK ( Karade )
