What Causes Thumping Feeling In Neck During Pregnancy?

Hi, I am 33 and 22 weeks pregnant, overweight, diagnosed with insulin resistance in February, then put on Glucophage XR. Have not had any side effects other than nausia in the first two weeks. The past few days I experienced a strange thumping in my neck on the left side, experienced the feeling of an air bubble going up my neck over the front of my face over my nose through my right eye. That happened once, thereafter just the thumping feeling in my neck on left. Im scared that may be a bloodclot or stroke signs, no other symptoms though.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

No. Most probably it is GERD, it is common in pregnancy. There is no need to worry. Life style modification is required. Avoid tea, coffee. Take more fruits. Restrict liquids at night. Light walk after every meal.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Digant Sharma, General & Family Physician
