What Causes Throbbing Pain In Arm Post Blood Donation?

I gave blood last thursday at my college and my arm is still hurting. It is kind of like a dull throbbing pain, but also like a warmth type thing that radiates up and down my arm. Its not super painful but it does hurt and is definately noticable. The first night after donating blood i couldnt even bend my arm or it would hurt. I would have to lay it out flat and also it wakes me up during the night when i find myself sleeping on it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Desr,
Symptoms mentioned by u are suggesting about thrombophlebitis which is very common specially in blood camps.
I advice u to use thrombophob ointment or heparin oint for local application.
Take pain killer with paracetamol and apply ice on the puncture site.
If not relieved within 3 days visita gen. Surgeon.
Thanks
Wish u a healthy life.
