General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Though the bone is not likely to be still present, because it would have caused trauma to the throat, this would cause persisting pain.

The area of the throat would still be inflamed and irritated. This can take up to a week, in some cases, longer, to resolve.

It would be best to use soft foods, cold or slightly warm foods.

Hard/spicy or hot foods may irritate the area.

The use of anti inflammatory pain medications would also help as well. This includes naproxen/cataflam/ibuprofen.

I hope this helps
