What Causes Throat Ache After An Accident?

My daughter had a bike accident and the handle bar hit her in the throat and she is complaining of it being vary soar and hurts to swallow . She seams to be breathing ok and can still drink and eat . Just wanting to make sure the swelling wont cause her to stop breathing in her sleep . This accident acurd about three in a half hours ago.

Hello,

I suggest you take a CT scan and do consult a surgeon. From CT only the size, shape and nature of the swelling can be diagnosed and can come to a conclusion.
