What Causes Thin Brown Worms In Stools?

I went to the toilet yesterday. Flushed the toilet and carried on as normal. When I came back to the toilet 3 hours later there was a worm about 4 inches long, very thin and dark brown in colour wriggling in the water - did it come from em? I have no symptoms.

Hello,

As the worm seen was 3 hours later of flushing the toilet, it is less likely to be from the bowel movement, as those contents must have been drained.

It is likely to be from upward migration of the same from sewage contents.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
