The discharge may last as long as three to four days. 4.Ovulation is another reason. When the egg is releasing you can experience a dark brown discharge or spotting. It will last a few days. 5. Sexually transmitted disease: vaginal infections, gonorrhea, clamydia etc can give a rise to the occurrence of dark brown vaginal discharges with burning sensations, pain etc. 6.Cervical cancer is a disease that is associated with a dark brown discharge.
