What Causes The Veins In The Eye To Burst?

Hi I had lazy eye since born... and about 3 years ago(2008) i was finally operated to straight my eyes...all went perfectly well!!!! 7 months ago(2010) i suddenly had a floater and a flogged vision in my right eye. After a week i went to GP, then Ophtalmologist, then hospital, then ophtalmologist again... in that time i was told my eye sight was fine but i had a blood vein leaking behind the eye, and that was the reason for my blurred vision, and that i should be fine in little time, but we should find out the cause of this blood vein... After some exams(diabetis, etc), they never found the problem for that bursting blood vein.... Now(2011)... i never got any better, just worse... i am not using that eye because i see it all mishaped, blurred, fogged, and it seems it is more far away than it is (any object i try focusing) I been having strong pain in my head from blood veins in the back of my neck (2 or 3 days a week) the ophtalmologist just told me last week there is nothing to do!!! My question? What was the cause of my bursting blood vein after all? And if we dont know why it happen i guess it can happen the same to my healthy eye(left) and i will be blind and there is nothing to do??? I am very confused and stressed with all this... can you please help me? Thanks, Ana Sultan

it can happen due to diabetes atherosclerosis hypertension, other eye disease like glaucoma. In your case basic cause is to be diagnosed. treatment should be accordingly given. Anti coagulant is also given in such problem.
