Hai,

Normal urine has ammonia content and it is a byproduct of protein metabolism . so usually urine smell a little bit like ammonia, and this smell is enhanced by the urine being more concentrated. Sometimes urine smells stronger when there has been a change in your diet.

physio locally dehydration may cause such odour.

pathologically common causes of the ammonia smell in urine are diabetes, liver disorders metabolic disorders, sexually transmitted diseases, medications, vitamins.

kindly take more 3 to 4 litre of water and assess the same smell of strong ammonia is there. if it still persist kindly approach your treating physician to do basic investigation like urine routine and culture.
