What Causes The Saliva To Turn Yellow In The Morning?

Every time I wake up in the morning, right before I brush my teeth, I spit some yellow thick substance/liquid which doesn t even resemble normal saliva. It is an every single day thing - no exception. No matter what I eat or drink or even if I don t eat for 1 day at all - it still happens every morning. I ve been on many different diets and none of them worked for me.i am a type 2 Diabetic have to use insulin, which i have not for the past 6 months i have bad breath and sensitive teeth..

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The yellow saliva can be because of the gum infection that has resulted in pus formation which is giving yellowish color to saliva. The other possible cause can be increased mucous secretion from the salivary gland. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
