What Causes The Feeling Of A Air Bubble In The Throat?
I have a feeling of a bubble being in my upper chest and throat area. I also swallow a lot and feel like there is more mucus than usual in my throat. I am on tecta twice a day and recently started taking domperidone. I sometimes feel like I am going to choke. I am waiting for a gastroscope but that may not happen until December. What do I do? Any thoughts as to what is happening to me? I had my gallbladder removed 18 months ago and had ERCP shortly after that to retrieve stones caught in my common bile duct. Thanks!
Hi. Thanks for your query. Read and understood your history of feeling of air-bubble in throat and the chest. This is most of the times a psychological thing and related to the stress and anxiety as only a few conditions exist which gives this feeling like the pharyngeal diverticulum. This can be diagnosed well by a Barium swallow and should be done in all the cases. Also noted your history of gall bladder surgery and need for ERCP for removal of bile duct stones.
