Hello, Welcome to healthcare magic. Itching and scaling on scalp can occur in mainly 2 conditions, namely seborrhoeic dermatitis ( common dandruff) and scalp psoriasis. Psoriasis is not as itchy as dandruff and is more localised and forms coin shaped patches. It could spread beyond the scalp margin to the forehead also. Since you have a history of using minoxidil solution, an allergic reaction to the same should also be ruled out. You can try using a shampoo contain 2% ketoconazole thrice a week for 2-3 weeks. If it is simple dandruff, it will resolve with the same. If there is no improvement, psoriasis should be considered. Hope this helps you. Take care.
