What Causes Tenderness In The Jaw And Difficulty In Moving?

right side jaw joint kinda of tender and cannot close my mouth all the way. My teeth feel like they do not line up and touch wrong or out of place. I woke up with this this morning and it seems to be getting worse. I had nothing happen to me, have no cold or anything, no problems with my mouth or jaw like tmj. What could be going on?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The tenderness in the jaw and difficulty in moving the jaw could be because of the disc displacement in the jaw joint or retrodiscitis.
Consult a oral physician and get yourself examined and rule out these conditions.
You have to take radiograph like OPG and TMJ views, MRI.
If it is disc displacement then take a course of analgesics like tablet piroxicam 20mg, twice daily for first day and once daily for next 6 days. Do not eat hard things, do not open your mouth too wide. You can give hot fomentation over the jaw joint.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
