I have tenderness in my private area and last week was sexually active with my partner. He is sick today and won t go to a doctor. I know about his past activities and I am thinking I should atleast get tested for something. He claims he is std free. I have not had this issue before. In may i had a leep procedure done. have not been active sexually since or prior to procedure. Recently I have an outbreak in the areas where he was kissing my genitals. I have not been with anyone including him in a week. I have been applying petroleum jelly to irritated areas repeatedly as needed. any suggestions
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. In the current scenario, I would ask you to immediately go for a proper clinical assessment. You need to have the blood tests done as well as smears taken from the vagina and cervix, a pap smear and urinalysis. You may need an antihistamine also to help prevent itching arising from the rash.Avoid douches and strong soap solutions to clean the genital region. Avoid tampons. Avoid any more sexual intercourse until you are well healed and make sure your partner gets tested and treated. Hope this helps.
