General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Well, if this is suspected then further investigations should be done as follows:
Serum Electrolytes for temporary paralysis as reduced potassium can momentary paralysis.
RA factor.
Uric acid.
C-reactive proteins and as would be advised after a visit to a Rheumatologist.
Oral intake of potassium in the form of medicine or fresh coconut water and banana should help you for temporary paralysis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
