What Causes Tailbone Pain And Pulling Pain In Spine?

Hi. I m a 20 year old female. And for the last 2-3 days my tail bone has been hurting so bad I can t even sit on it. I have to lay on my side. I can t even sleep on my back. And it s just been getting worse. I did not fall. And I don t know what I can do to relieve the pain. I ve used a heating pad and soaked in a bath and it didn t do much. It relieved it some but it hurts to do anything the pulls on my spine like picking up my son (27 pounds) and bending over to pick stuff up. What else can I do to relieve he pain?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello ma'am and welcome.

You are too young to be suffering any degenerative changes, and so the first thing I would recommend is a doctors physical examination and an x-ray examination of the lower spine, and tail bone region. This will provide us with a clear insight on what exactly is causing your pain.

Please either visit a doctor with the same or write to me using our premium service with an x-ray and I shall guide you accordingly.

Best wishes.
