General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Augmentin is a combination of Amoxicillin & Clavulanic acid, and the side effect may cause palpitation/tachycardia, you need to connect with your treating doctor if you have difficulty in breathing or pain in the chest.

Your treating PCP will change the dose of the medication or switch to a different medication. Get lipid function tests, ECG, stress test, CBC & urinalysis done to rule out any developing coronary artery disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
