What Causes Swollen Veins In Right Side Of Temple?

Since yesterday my mother has noticed the veins in the right side of her temple are suddenly very noticeable and swollen and a bit sore. This is noticeable over quite a large area of her temple and down the side of her head. Now today the veins in the left temple are also like this. My mother is 68.

Hi. This is definitely not normal and better be checked by a Doctor. The probable causes are- Hypertension, blockage to the outflow of the veins in the neck and so on. I would advise such patients to get checked by a Doctor to get a diagnosis which will facilitate the further management.
