What Causes Swollen Vein About An Inch Behind My Left Ear?

I am 73 had a lower face lift 8 weeks ago and have had some swollen lumps under neck which dr say happens Today I felt a swollen vein about an inch behind my left ear extending down behind my ear no pain or tenderness BP 154/76 I have systolic high BP and on Lisenophril. No HA No change in LOC or neuro symptoms.

Thanks for your query.
With face-lifts the occurrence of such veins is noted. These are due to engorgement due to increased blood supply. It is possible that this was the vein that was tied during surgery and now gets enlarged as the distal part is blocked .
Since there is n inflammation, tenderness, pain nothing to worry. The fluid will get alternate paths to drain.
Taking no or low salt will help you to get a control over the systolic blood pressure.
