What Causes Swollen Tonsils With Difficulty In Breathing?

I m 14 years old. And for already 5 days I ve had my whole tonsils swollen completely my voice is changing and I can t eat. My tonsils have closed in not letting me eat or breathe good. Since I breath thru my mouth that s bad. Well my tonsils have gotten worse with the antibiotics I ve been drinking now its the whole inside of my throat swollen to the max and red and white spots all over its like 5 different balls in my throat. I ve told my mom a doctor should check it out and she said it ll go away after I finish the antibiotics. What should I do?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hi, by your history it looks like you are suffering from acute tonsillitis, if you are finding no relief even after taking antibiotics then its better to consult an Ent specialist to change your antibiotics after culture and sensitivity test, he may also advice tonsillectomy once the acute symptoms subsides, please don't delay, your symptoms are pretty serious and meanwhile drink plenty of water, take care.
