What Causes Swollen Tonsils After Being Treated For Tonsillitis?

Hi, My son, 19 years old, was diagnosed with tonsillitis 2 weeks ago. He was given an antibiotic and was fine within 3 days. His tonsils are now very swollen again but he doesn t have a fever and he doesn t feel sick. What should I do? I took him to an urgent care, should we see and ENT doc?

Hi, I think you should consult a ENT specialist for proper examination. He may need a long course of antibiotics or a tonsillectomy. Discuss with your doctor regarding this.
