What Causes Swollen Tonsil Along With Lump Behind Jaw And Under Ear?

hi. I have a swollen tonsil on the left side, as well as a lump on the same side behind my jaw and under my ear and having pain swallowing accomponied with the feeling of something is in my throat when there isnt anything there. Was just wondering if you might know what is wrong with me?

Hello and welcome.

Symptoms indicating an inflammation of the tonsils point towards an upper respiratory tract infection that will present with all the symptoms you mentioned in your query.

But if you do not have other symptoms of an infection like temperature, sputum production, etc; then we should suspect other conditions that can also present in a similar manner like acid reflux or gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). Please speak to your doctor about the same.
