What Causes Swollen Throat After Stung By Bees On Foot/temple/head?

I was looked at by a nurse and told that my swollen left side of my throat was probably salivary gland and I could have a stone. However, I was stung by 3 bees at once a few days before that. One bee stung me on the foot, another on the left side of my head near my temple and the last one on my left arm. If this was from the bee stings it took several days to appear; is this possible??? I am 51 years old, 5'7" and weigh 200 lbs.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Sometimes bee stings can cause allergic reaction which may cause swelling. It is better you do a ultrasonography of the swelling and the whole neck. You can get a diagnosis by doing the ultrasonography. Bee stings swelling gets resolved over the time. If there is a stone in the gland which causes swelling then it will come with sonography.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
