What Causes Swollen Right Side Of Head After Injury?

my friend banged her head on a car windscreen but had no pain. last 3 days her head right side is swollen and paining. doctor has recomended rest ,low stress and to avoid chinese chocolates etc. given Rizact 5 tab to eat. is it mere migrane or symptoms of brain injury ?

Hello dear,
You have not mentioned when was the accident.
I guess the pain and swelling followed the incident.If there is a true swelling,it is unlikely migraine,and is due to soft tissue contusion,and will decrease with simple analgesics.If the present treatment does not help,you can discuss with your doctor.Applying ice packs also is good.
As she had no loss of consciousness/vomiting/vertigo/visual disturbance,significant brain injury is unlikely,and need not worry.
