What Causes Swollen Neck And Face While Having Canker Sores On Lips?
My daughter is 25 and is having painful selling in her neck and on the side of her face. She says her teeth do not hurt and the swelling does not subside with ice treatment. She has cancur sores on her lips and her gums are bleeding. She does have pain, but not a tooth ache . She has taken ibuprofen to try to help with the swelling and pain with no success. This has been going on for about 48 hours. How else can she help with the problems without going to the emergency room?

I really appreciate your concern, if this is the kind of infection of lesion in form of boil then it may be the cause of swelling and it has to be taken care, if the lesion is on face then it may cause the swelling on face and neck due to loose skin and rich blood supply, may need antibiotic to control the infection, differentia diagnosis is matter of concern, hope this information helps.
