What Causes Swollen Mole On The Arm Along With Pain?
I have a small mole on my arm that has suddenly become swollen and sore. It is dark brown and about half a centimetre in diameter. It is raised up and a small black dot has appeared in the centre (about 1mm). I caught the top of it earlier by accident and it bled slightly. The top is now crusty. I am on HRT. This week I spent two days in a spa treatment centre, salt pools, sauna and steam room spending about 7-8 hours in the water. This change to my mole has been very sudden ( last 24 hours)

From the symptom you provided it sounds like an infected hair follicle on your mole .
Mole rarely get infection but in your case as you have spent much time in spa and in water it may possible that it get infected
an infected mole doesn't cause serious outcome and will resolve with warm compresses & topical antibiotics ointments with anti inflammatory medicines like ibuprofen , however there are many other possibilities including a cyst or serious Tumor and it needs thorough medical check up and investigations to spot a confirm diagnosis
