My 5 years old daughter has a swollen lymph nodes in my neck one is about an 3cm and the other 8mm, they feel hard and fixed. 1 is the size of a peanut and the other just a tad smaller. Te doctor put her on prednisolone and antibiotics. She has to take 3 prednisolone tablets mixed in water before breakfast. her weight is 18 kg since last june, she doesn t gain any wait. she gets fairly nauseous when she eats, and it doesn t take as much for her to feel full. since she was a baby she doesn t have a good voice (speaks like somoene who has a sore throat ).
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. She may have upper respiratory tract infection or some other infection. It leads to enlarge cervical lymphnode due to reactive hyperplasia. She should take a course of antibiotics like amoxiclav or azithromycin. If she doesn't respond to treatment then biopsy diagnosis is advisable to rule out tuberculosis or lymphoma. Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
