What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes On The Neck And Behind The Ear?
I did a pretty deep (100ft) dive yesterday and had a hard time equalizing but eventually was good and finished the dive. Now today I have a sore ear and swollen glands on my neck, behind my ear and on the back of my head... all on the same side that had a hard time equilizing, could this be related?
Hello, Welcom to Healthcaremagic.com. There seems to be the damage to your external ear, what I can interpret from your query.
Yes the two things are related as the lymphatic drainage of ear runs through the same area where you feel swelling. These swellings both in neck( cervical) and behind ear (post auricular) is because of inflammation or infection in external ear or middle ear. You need to consult ENT spacialist for further evaluation to check the status of ear drum. Hope it will help you and you will be feeling well soon
