What Causes Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck And Collar Bone?
I have multiple lymph nodes swelling then going away multiple times through out the day for over 6 weeks. I cant turn my neck easily most the time.My right collar bone is standing out three times as much when they swell they burn. My doctor says she cant find anything since when I go see her the swelling is down.
Hello, i can understand your concern. Lymph node swellings usually do not come and go each day multiple times. You have not mentioned your age which is essential to rule out few serious causes of lymph node enlargement. I would suggest you to consult your doctor once again,as without a physical examination it is difficult to comment on a neck swellings. Painful and swollen lymph nodes generally are due to infections. This will require a course of antibiotic. Along with i would suggest these tests Complete blood count, ESR, Chest X ray, Mantoux test. Based on the results further medications can be advised. If these tests are inconclusive, you might require an FNAC of the lymphnode( a needly is inserted and aspirate taken for examination)
Hope this helps. Have a nice day
