What Causes Swollen Lymph Node?

I have one swollen lymph node on the left side and a bruised/black looking tonsil with white patches on it. I had the chills and body ache today, but no fever. It hurts to swallow, I got swabbed for a strep test but results haven t came in yet. Should I be worried?

Hi,
It seems that you might be having acute follicular tonsillitis giving rise enlarged swollen lymph node.
Go for one antibiotic medicine like Azithromicin for 3-5 days.
Do antiseptic water gargles.
Avoid cold drinks, junk food.
Ok and take care.
