What Causes Swollen Lymph Node On Neck?

I have a small lymph node that's swollen on the left side of my neck with no other symptoms about three weeks ago I was suppose to take antibiotics until they were gone but I would miss doses I didn't notice until the pollen came could it have came from pollen or should I be more concerned? ??

Hello,

Lymphnode swelling is usually secondary to infections elsewhere. I do not understand what you mean by pollen - ruptured lymphnode (abscess) with yellow discharge or flower pollen. If it is the first - consult your doctor at the earliest. If you are worried about the second one, get a blood count done, specifically for eosinophils. If its increased, possible allergic cause can be attributed.

In developing countries commonly cause of a enlarged multiple cervical lymph node is Tuberculosis. Do continue the treatment until it disappears, otherwise further investigations are necessary to identify the cause.

Hope i Have answered your query. If you have any further questions, I will be happy to help
