What Causes Swollen Lymph Node In Neck?

I have had a swollen lymph node in my neck for 3 weeks now. Blood tests for glandular fever came back clear and doctor had no concerns with my blood results. However he signed me off work for a week last week as all my joints were really sore and he thought it might be a viral infection. One week on and im due to go to docs tomorrow...my joints are now pain free but lynph node still very swollen and although the node its self is painless I have a stiff neck on the same side and also wake 4 or 5 times a nite due to my right hand being numb as though I have been lying on it. Any ideas what could be wrong?
