What Causes Swollen Lymph Node , Cough And Fatigue?

Symptoms have been increasing over 8 months : fatigue, cough, hoarse voice, a need to clear my throat, enlarged lymphnoid ( ultrasound showed cyst or lymphnoid over 2 cm and enlarged carotid node over 2 cm) ringing ears, several syncope episodes when bending my head down like to pray or rest, joint pain, cold sweats and shivering , short of breath especially when talking,. Today wilth the feeling that I was out breath I heard hear a whistling in my throat, also everything feels heavy. My primary care physician referred me to an ENT this last December . He did a soft scope down my throat and said my vocal cords seemed to be working to try using Prilosec OTC. He seemed unconcern with the ultrasound. I have history of breast cancer and malignant hypertension. By BP has been running a little high 158/124 and my pulse was 120 so I took my emergency pill Clonidine .1 mg.

Hello dear,

From your history i realize you have a genuine situation and will try to adress as per my competency.

Enlarged carotid node, syncope , ringing in ears points out to some space occupying lesion in your neck. Associated symptoms like cold sweat and shivering might lead to some one of the unusual tumor like PARAGANGLIONOMA, which have variants. your problem to me seems like Glomus Jugulare, which is a tumor arising from bulb of jugular vein.

But please do not worry . It is a very very rare tumor with complete surgical soulution. First to establish the diagnosis you should have a MRI neck done to rule out any such lesion. Second you should get your blood-catecholamine and 24 hour Urinary VMA ( vinyllilmandelic acid) level to support the associated symptoms.

Please do not get disheartened as the condition I am mentioning is is very rare, but it is important to be ruled out with investigations.

Hope my suggestion helps you in some way.
Thanks for the way you are in my life.
