What Causes Swollen Lymph Node Behind The Ear?

Hello, So my boyfriend I think was bit by something possibly a spider on the right ear lobe. He has not done anything about it, but put ointment on it. It looked like 2 little bite marks on the inner part of the lobe & had turned swollen & red, also almost like bubble like spots on it that traveled up the ear & behind the ear on the neck. Now his gland on that side is swollen & on the other ear it feels like it has pressure? Please help?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the area of bite is infected leading to swollen glands and also bubble like spots that can be due to pus filled bubbles..
Swelling and inflammation can also be due to the toxic substances that are left under the skin by the stinger of the biting organism..

I would suggest that he should take anti allergics like benadryl and along with it apply a Triple antibiotic and steroid ointment over it..
Take a short course of antibiotics and anti inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen after consulting a local physician..Do cool compresses..
