What Causes Swollen Legs And Numbness, Pain And Tingling In Arm?
i am a 32 year old woman who had a dvt in 2009. I just had my pt and i and r tested and my numbers were not therapeutic. 0.9 and 11.7 to be exact. I take 10 mg of warfarin daily but my legs are swolen and I have numbness, pain and tingling in my left arm should i be alarmed?
As we need a detailed version of the history which can help us understand the causes better. DVT is usually noted in the lower limbs and the medicine part is already mentioned above. You need to focus on the exercise for DVT under a guided cardio vascular Physiotherapist who can help retain the muscles by which the circulation is maintained without leading to trouble. As there is trouble with the venous return which is leading to swelling of the lower limb, it is advised to use initially temporary support called as the stocking. But the actual role will be played by the exercise for long term help.
Also, the tingling, numbness and pain in the left arm indicate me more of the nerve entrapment than the DVT cause. I will advise to hot water fermentation to the neck region and upper back. Post which doing static neck exercises, upper back strengthening exercises, upper limb strengthening exercises will help reduce the symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
