Hello,

As we need a detailed version of the history which can help us understand the causes better. DVT is usually noted in the lower limbs and the medicine part is already mentioned above. You need to focus on the exercise for DVT under a guided cardio vascular Physiotherapist who can help retain the muscles by which the circulation is maintained without leading to trouble. As there is trouble with the venous return which is leading to swelling of the lower limb, it is advised to use initially temporary support called as the stocking. But the actual role will be played by the exercise for long term help.

Also, the tingling, numbness and pain in the left arm indicate me more of the nerve entrapment than the DVT cause. I will advise to hot water fermentation to the neck region and upper back. Post which doing static neck exercises, upper back strengthening exercises, upper limb strengthening exercises will help reduce the symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

I am a 54 y/o woman , in September I made a poor choice and jumped off a landing at a charity thingy . in my mind I said that s going to hurt later ..a week later I awoke and couldn t move my arms or legs I made an appt. with my doc ( took two weeks to see her ) and she had me sent to xray my chest , vascular testing, circulation testing , 2 weeks of blood testing , blood/fecal/urine , ears nose and throat guy , orthopedic doc who did xrays and ordered an mri ,my knees are beautifully healthy he says , though he never looked at my swollen fat painful knees in person . and next is a neurologist , so far everything looks fine . I am in agony daily , nights are worst, I keep pointing out that it is the bone between my shoulder blades that is pushed out I can feel the thing, a wrinkle in a shirt/sheet produces tremendous pain and no one has addressed this issue at all . however I had Lyme 5 years ago and am wondering if this is what is causing all these nerve issues ..neuropathy I think it was called ,,let me tell you what I am experiencing ,, tingling . numbness. heat/cold in the joints/muscles , spasms that feel like my veins are wiggling when I stretch my legs , pulses in my knees to feet area and shoulder to finger tips which are also very painful, like little knives cutting me , also my neck cracks which freaks me out , my toes turn blue ( yesterday I broke one so it is black/blue PAIN ) it has been six months and I walk like an 80 y/o, my calf muscles feel locked up and painful so walking to get my grandsons from school every day ( an hour ) has me literally in tears as my legs feel like they weigh 100 lbs each . my shoulders/arms are still locked up but have let go 3/4 of the way I can now move them halfway up and away from my body by slowly adding stretches and exercise every day . could this be neuropathy without diabetes , or the dreaded Lyme ? and what doctor should I actually go see to find out exactly what is going on here ? please and thank you

I am a 21 year old female, 5 7 non smoker, non drinker. I am a tad bit overweight by standards, but my waist is normal by the weight vs wait theory. I have been having chest pains and left arm tingling and numbness. My hands, arms, feet, and legs are swollen. I have been extremely tired and I get winded from just walking from my daughter s bed to my bed which only about two or three feet away. I only urinate about 3 times a day and sometimes when I feel the need to go, nothing comes out, i ll feel my spincther muscle relax, but no flow. I was diagnosed with a small kidney stone but they said it was nothing to worry about. Sometimes my extremities get all tingly and go numb as well. I was put on lasix a week ago and have had no increase in urination and no reduction in my swelling. I have been VERY lighteheaded and dizzy as well. I went to the ER my bp was 157/79 and it usually runs about 110/75 at routine dr s visits he did a quick ekg and said things looked normal, and he also said my blood work is fine. I asked him what could be causing my symptoms and he said he did t know and said, go home and try and get some rest. He didn t even bother to check my vitals before discharge. I am about to just give up b/c I don t think I will ever find an answer to my problems. I am starting to feel like some big hypochondriac but my symptoms are there, i even passed out in my doctor s office last week. I

Hi...I am on warfarin now temporarily following a right THR. My last INR last thursday was 1.6 and I have been taking 5 mg nightly since then. I used both Udo s Oil and ground flaxseed this morning on my cottage cheese and fruit...what was I thinking?! Just was trying to work in a little natural fiber etc. Anyway, I assume this is not recommended w warfarin...I won t do it again as long as I am on warfarin. My question...do I have anything to be concerned about today? Should I skip eating the salmon I was going to cook tonight? (no big deal...can use tomorrow). Thanks so much for advice.....

My82-year old husband has recently been diagnosed with vascular dementia apparently as a result of taking warfarin for AF. I have recently heard about coconut oil as helping dementia; is it safe to take this remedy with warfarin and should we find an alternative to warfarin because of the continuing damage it is doing?

I ve been on warfarin for approximately one month for treatment of a PE, however, last night and the night before I have experienced pain in my upper inner thigh and right glute area. Looking over the side-effects of warfarin it is normal to experience muscle and joint pain. How do I distinguish the pain from a side-effect or dvt?
