Hello,
You may have a bump related to drainage from an infected tooth. Please schedule a visit with your dentist for an X-ray to evaluate for the source of an infection. Control the swelling with anti-inflammatory medication such as Tylenol or Advil. The antihistamine Benadryl can offer relief, but may make you tired. Rinse and continue piper daily dental hygiene. An abscess can spread and affect other parts of your body. Antibiotics can be prescribed by your dentist and with a diagnosis, proper treatment recommended. Abscessed teeth can often be treated with a root canal. Abscesses involved the surrounding bone may require periodontal treatment.
Thank you for your inquiry.
