Dentist 's  Response
Hello,
I suggest a consultation with your dentist. Tooth abscessed can cause swelling if an infection drains, Depending on your prescribed antibiotic, you could have periods where you have controlled the inflammatory response, but still not treated the source to fully eliminate the infection. Other sources to consider are the salivary glands, periodontal health and TMJ with grinding your teeth.
What was your diagnosis to be placed on an antibiotic? Perhaps a different one is necessary or the strength was not strong enough. With any prescription and especially antibiotics, make sure that you take as directed. This can affect the response and effectiveness of your medication.
Thank you for your inquiry. I hope that my suggestions are helpful.
