What Causes Swollen Foot With History Of Undergoing Ankle Surgery?

good evening. had multiple surgery after a fall resulting from a broken tib and fib; line franc and ankle. Now recovering after almost a year. noticed that left foot gets swollen at the end of the day- is this normal. pins a/screws are still there. per doctor no need to remove unless I feel pain. i elevate left foot and in the morning swollen foot is gone. please advice thanks

I really appreciate your concern, such swelling is very likely and this is nothing to worry try to keep the leg in elevated position, such swelling may not persist for long time or should not increase else this would be matter of concern, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
