What Causes Swollen And Painful Pimples On The Face And Headache?

I have a very painful pimple/abscess on my lower cheek by my jaw. My whole jaw line is swollen. I tried to pop it-a lot of white puss came out but still swollen and painful. Worried it may be a staph infection. This comes a few days after two painful soars on either side of my mouth. Also have bad headaches. Thanks for you advice.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have swollen and painful pimples on the face and headache which could be due to hormonal imbalance , allergic reaction, stress and clogged pores of sebaceous glands. I would suggest you to wash your forehead with Clindamycin gel. Apply cream on face rich in kojic acid and benzoyl peroxide. You should wash your face 3-4 times a day and apply salicyclic acid gel. Visit dermatologist once and get it examined. Start treatment after proper prescription and drink plenty of water. Take over the counter anti histamine like zyrtec and do not pply any cosmetic product . Prevent your skin from direct sunlight and apply aloe vera gel.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
